Digital Radiograph or X-rays is non-invasive technique and diagnostic tool we use to look inside the body. This technology allows us to create composite images of the internal body or discover injuries that can be affecting your pet. These images can highlight objects within and help detect numerous abnormalities including skeletal fractures, soft tissue changes, foreign bodies and dental disease. Due to accuracy and non-invasive nature, radiology remains a popular and key tool in our hospital to provide the highest quality of care for our patients.
Some specialized imaging such as orthopedic radiographs (elbows, knees, and hips) will require anesthesia. These patients have to remain completely still and need to be positioned in such a way to obtain the most accurate position. The duration of sedation/anesthesia is short and the patient’s recovery is swift.
The use of radiology is safe, and our entire staff is highly trained. It is our goal to provide your pet with the highest level of medical care possible, and this is just one of the many ways we achieve that.
Digital dental radiology allows quick and accurate results for each patient undergoing a dental cleaning. Every patient undergoing a dental cleaning will receive full mouth dental radiographs.
